June 1 1968 - Bank View Service Station buys its first hire vehicle, it's a second hand mini bus purchased from the Christian church and is written off on its second outing.
February 1 1986 - Bank View Hire Limited was formed as a trading Company changing its name from Bank View Service Station and achiving Limited company status.
December 12th 1992 - The new building was opened by M.D. Arthur Plant and marks the beginning of a new era for the company which then goes on to treble its turnover over the coming year.
October 17 2003 - Managing Director left her employer Coca Cola with whom she occupied and senior management Role and joined Bank View Hire on a full time basis as managing Director.
June 1 2006 - Mercedes dealer Road Range feature Bank View in their Magazine celebrating 40 years of supplying Mercedes.
March 29 2010 - Having worked here together for 30 years 3 keys members of staff retire with a combined age of 195 and with a staggering 103 years of loyal service between them all are recongnised for their contribution, but it was a momentous and emotional day for all concerned.
1st June 2010 - Our final new recurit joins us. Our new team bring a plethorah of skills and experience which equip us to deliver our ambitious expansion plans...
October 1 1966 - Bank View Service Station is born! Its starts life as an Esso Petrol Station and the interst is bought following Arthur Plants return from Nigeria serving with the Merchant Navy
March 27 1974 - Bank View Service Stataion purchase its first Brand New vehicle from J Blake and Co, Lodge Lane. A 12 seater mini bus in Fiord Blue registration: PKA 710M for £1,449.91plus VAT at 10% !!!!
November 20th 1991 - Foundations preparation starts for a plush new building with reception offices, boardroom facilities, several workbays, kitchens and bathrooms. A far cry from the mobile portacabin and tiny building on site for the previous 30 years.
January 14th 2001 - The current Managing Director of Bank View Hire Limited is appointed.
April 15th 2001 - A tragic day in our histoy which marked the passing of Arthur Derek Plant the companies founder former Managing Director who was respected across the city.
January 10 2009 - Managing Director is listed in "Who's Who" publication in recognition of her achivements during her Directorship at Bank View Hire.
